Professor Katie Pratt is looking for two Research Assistants for the summer of 2008. Summer projects include law review articles on: (1) the tax deductibility of medical expenses incurred for reproductive health care or sex reassignment surgery; and (2) whether we should enact excise taxes on unhealthy foods, as a response to the obesity epidemic. Prof. Cindy Archer is looking for a Research Assistant for the Spring 2008 academic year. Prof. Archer teaches Legal Writing, Ethical Lawyering, and Negotiations. A research assistant is needed to assist in researching the law that provides the framework for exercises and problems that will be used in those classes. Help is also needed to assist in reviewing Legal Writing Students' papers for citations and technical areas. Thus, strong research, analysis, writing and citation skills are necessary. Professor Archer is also engaged in ongoing research on Ethics and Bias in Negotiations and may require a small amount of assistance on that project.
